BOLLYWOOD HOT AND HANDSOME-HRITHIK ROSHAN'S BIOGRAPHY

He looke great!!

Biography

Hrithik was born on 10th January 1974, in Mumbai, India. He started his schooling at the Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai, like the other children of his age group he was also fond of playing with the toys and his favorites were the superhero figurines, do it yourself toys and the miniature car models. After growing up a little his interest shifted towards Scrabble, Table Tennis, Badminton and Snooker. He developed a special liking for the music, reading and cycling. While studying here, he developed a special relationship and bond with Sussanne which afterwards culminated to their marriage.

After finishing the school Hrithik went to the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Churchgate, Mumbai, he graduated with first division, by that time he was already made up his mind to make the acting as his profession. He acted in few films as a child artist, which includes the films like Aasha, Deewane and Bhagwan Dada.

When he grown up many people rejected him as a hero, due to his light colored eyes, tall and lanky figure. But he had some definite plans for the purpose; he joined Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting classes quietly without informing his parents.

In other hand he started assisting his father in his projects like Karan-Arjun and Koyla. Where he led the life of a real assistant without having any concessions and amenities of the star son. This made him much tougher mentally and made him clear about the ins and outs of the show business. Stammering was another problem on which he worked patiently.

The physical fitness was also a problem for Hrithik but in that area he got full help and support of Salman Khan who properly guided him to build his muscles and ways to the meal management. Later on Hrithik even helped his father to pen down the story of the film Kaho Na Pyar Hai. Papa roshan gave him the brake in the same film in the year 2000 as a hero. The film became smash hit of the year and Hrithik became the Superstar overnight. His father was attacked and critically wounded by the Bombay mafia after the success of the film. This made Hrithik sentimental and he announced that in future he would never act in a film. However after great persuasion by the fans and the well wishers he agreed to continue his acting career.

Hrithik married his old time heart throb Suzanne in the year 2000 on December 14th in her father’s (Sanjay Kan) resort and spa in the Bangalore City. Now the offers for the roles were pouring for Hrithik, he started grabbing them, many of the films got rejected by the public and the fans, critics started crying foul about him but he remained calm and continued to work silently then came the film Koi Mil Gaya in the year 2003 and once again Hrithik tasted the success, this time he was very careful he picked the films carefully. Next came the film Lakshya in the year 2004, the film was not a hit but nobody could say anything against the acting of Hrithik even his toughest critics ware silenced by his performance. After that there was no turn around for Hrithik yet he is on a spree to produce hit films one after another like Krish and Dhoom-2. Meanwhile he was blessed with a son in the year 2006, who was fondly named Hrehaan Roshan.

Career

Early life, until 1999

Hrithik Roshan’s first movie role was as a child artist when he was six years old in the 1980 movie Aasha, where he appeared in a dance sequence as an extra. Roshan went on to play minor roles in Aap Ke Deewane (1980) and Bhagwan Dada (1986) both of which starred his father in the leading role. He then became an assistant director assisting in the production of his father’s films Karan Arjun (1995) and Koyla (1997).

Breakthrough, 2000 - 2002

Roshan made his debut as a leading man in the 2000 film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai opposite another debutante actress Amisha Patel. The film was directed by his father and proved to be very successful at the box office, becoming the highest grossing film of 2000 and winner of the Filmfare Best Movie Award. Roshan’s performance earned him the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and the Filmfare Best Actor Award. The film entered the Limca Book of Records in 2003 for the most number of awards won by a Bollywood film - 102 awards.

Later that year, Roshan starred in Khalid Mohammed’s critically acclaimed Fiza. Although the film did poorly at the box office, his performance was praised, earning him another nomination for Best Actor at the Filmfare ceremony. Critic Taran Adarsh noted, “The mainstay of the film is undoubtedly Hrithik Roshan. His body language, his diction, his expressions, his overall persona deserves great praise. With this film, Hrithik proves that there is more to him than just being a fashionable rage, a Mills & Boon lover-boy and a sex symbol. His talent comes to the fore in several scenes, especially those with Karisma. All said and done, the show belongs to Hrithik, who saves Fiza to a major extent. A brilliant performance undoubtedly!”

Hrithik’s last release of the year, the moderately successful Mission Kashmir, became the third highest grossing film of the year. His performance was once again acclaimed with one critic praising him, “Hrithik once again cuts a splendid performance as a youngster sucked in the vortex of terrorism. He is portrayed as anti-government in the early part of the film– a bold role to play for even a seasoned actor, leave alone a budding superstar.” All these achievements promoted him as one of the biggest stars in the industry.

Subhash Ghai’s Yaadein was Hrithik’s first release in 2001, which failed to do well. This was followed by Karan Johar’s melodramatic Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham, which did extremely well at the box office, becoming the second-highest grossing film of 2001 and the biggest hit overseas. Hrithik Roshan’s performance was well received and his performance earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at various award ceremonies.

Roshan had an unsuccessful year in 2002 when all three of his releases - Mujhse Dosti Karoge!, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage - failed to make an impact the box office and were declared flops.

Success, 2003 - he made a comeback with the science-fiction film Koi Mil Gaya, which was the highest grosser of the year] and won him many awards, including his second Filmfare Best Actor Award and his first Filmfare Best Actor (Critics) Award. Critic Taran Adarsh noted, “Hrithik Roshan dominates the show and packs in a power-packed performance. The role of a mentally challenged person is no cakewalk, but the actor takes to it like a fish takes to water. He manages to pull off the zero to hero routine exceptionally well. As an actor, he scales dizzier heights with this splendid performance.”

Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya was Hrithik Roshan’s only release in 2004; the film did not do well at the box office. Roshan took a two-year break from acting before resurfacing with the superhero film Krrish, a sequel to his 2003 hit Koi Mil Gaya which released in June 2006. The film was a major box office success and one of the highest grossers of 2006. His performance as a superhero was praised, earning him many Best Actor awards at various award ceremonies. Critic Taran Adarsh noted about his performance, “To state that Hrithik is the soul of Krrish would be an understatement. If the actor walked away with all noteworthy awards in Koi… Mil Gaya, it’s going to be an encore with Krrish. You cannot imagine any other actor enacting the role of a gifted child with aplomb. If his mask and robe look is splendid, watch his make up, gait and mannerisms as the aged father and you’d agree, he’s one of the finest talents on the Indian screen today. Krrish is yet another ground-breaking film in his dazzling repertoire!”

His next release that year, Dhoom 2, a sequel to the 2004 hit Dhoom, saw him play a villain for the first time. Roshan’s performance in the movie not only earned him widespread critical acclaim, but also his third Filmfare Best Actor Award. The film went on to become the highest grossing film of 2006, as well as one of the most successful films of Bollywood.

Roshan’s latest movie, Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodhaa Akbar opposite Aishu, released on February 15, 2008. He played the historical role of Akbar the Great. His performance in the movie was widely appreciated by critics. The movie did very good business, both in India and abroad.”

Controversy

In 2001, a rumour alleging Roshan made disparaging remarks about Nepal and its people caused outrage in the country. Several newspapers carried the report, leading to student protests, in which four people died. The unrest the protests caused forced the government to cancel a flight from Kathmandu to India. Later the Indian embassy and the actor himself clarified that he had made no such remarks.

In 2006, at the London press conference for his film Krrish, Roshan said that he knew it was time to leave Shanghai and Hong Kong after six weeks of stunt training and go home when his eyes started “turning into little slits like the Chinese”.

SANJAY DUTT-A VERSATILE ACTOR'S BIOGRAPHY

Sanjay Dutt (born July 29, 1959) is a famous two time Filmfare Awards winner movie staractor in Bollywood and also indulges as playback singer, he is considered the ultimate macho man in the Bollywood film industry.

He has figured in all editions of the India Today - Top 10 List of the Most influential Bollywood personalities. He has a "Never Give In" sticker on his car from his days at Lawrence School, Sanawar. His fans fondly call him "Sanju Baba".His peers are among his biggest fans. Salman Khan, Zayed Khan, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and many more look up to Dutt as an icon. The hulking actor is the inspiration for professional wrestler Sonjay Dutt's stage name.

He is the son of a Bollywood "Power Couple", Nargis and Sunil Dutt. Both his parents were awarded the Padmashree, a high civilian honor in India. His father Sunil Dutt was also a politician who campaigned for the Congress Party of India.Sanjay Dutt's sister, Namrata, married actor Kumar Gaurav, the son of yesteryears Bollywood star Rajendra Kumar. His sister Priya contested and won the election for her father's constituency and is now a Member of Parliament.
He has a daughter (by his marriage to his first wife) named Trishala who lives in New York with her grandparents and aunt. She was born on August 10, 1988 and is now currently 18 years old and is best known as the Paris Hilton of India whenever she visits due to her extravagant spending habits, poses, and popularity. Out of all the bollywood celebrity kids, Trishala Dutt is well known in New York City amongst the who's who, and in India.

At the age of 12 he made his first film appearance in his father's film "Reshma Aur Shera" where he had a small role as a qawali singer. He made his acting debut in the film "Rocky" in 1981 which was produced and directed by his father. Though "Rocky" was a hit it did not establish him as a star.He steadily began to build his career, and he had many hits such as "Vidhaata" (1982), "Naam" (1986), "Hathyar" (1989), "Sadak" (1991) and "Saajan" (1991). He was the first choice to play the lead in Subhash Ghai's "Hero", but after witnessing Sanjay Dutt in his drug phase during the shooting of "Vidhaata", Ghai picked Jackie Shroff.

Sanjay Dutt resurrected his cinema career with movies like "Sadak" (1991) and "Saajan" (1991). He received his first Filmfare nomination for the best actor in a lead role, for the film Saajan.

However his breakthrough role came in Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak (1993), which became a huge hit and gave his career a boost. He received a filmfare nomination for the film. The release of "Khalnayak" happened to coincide with Dutt's arrest in connection with the 1993 Mumbai Bombings. The hype surrounding the event and his convincing portrayal of the villainous role in the film gave his career a much needed boost and a filmfare nomination for best actor. Khalnayak went on to become a huge hit also partly because of the use of a popular song in the film "Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai".

Dutt retained his macho image after being released from jail and built on his steady fan following. Over the last 10 years, he has matured as an actor, with action, gangster and comedy roles being his forte.
His performances in "Vaastav" (1999), "Mission Kashmir" (2000), "Munnabhai M.B.B.S." (2003) and "Lage Raho Munnabhai" (2006) earned him rave reviews. His performance as a gangster in "Vaastav" earned him almost all the top awards that the industry has to offer, further cementing his place as one of the best actors in the Indian Film Industry. After the success of his MunnaBhai movies,a section of the media and fans also have started to refer to him as "Munna Bhai".

He along with friend and director Sanjay Gupta (Director) formed a production company called "White Feather Films". They have produced films such as "Kaante" (2002), "Musafir" (2004) and "Zinda" (2005) of which also star Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. His latest release "Shootout At Lokhandwala" has done very well at the box office, and is a hit according to boxofficeindia.com.

Tragedy seems to love Dutt and Dutt often seems to be actively courting tragedy. Despite getting into trouble with the law, Dutt has maintained his huge fan following, Perhaps the two main reasons that fans love this troubled star is his ability to survive and fight through the deepest tragedies of his life, and the exemplary respect that the common man in India has for both of his parents. After every setback he has managed to survive. Every time he has gone to the brink of absolute destruction, he has miraculously and sometimes unbelievably managed to claw back.

While he was still in high school, Sanjay Dutt became a drug addict, probably as he was unable to handle the pressure of being the child of two celebrities. His drug problems worsened his mother's health, who was already diagnosed with cancer. Nargis Dutt died a few weeks before Sanjay Dutt's first film, Rocky, was to be released. A heartbroken Dutt took to doing more drugs. His father sent him to a rehab center in Texas. After attending a rehabilitation program in the United States, a sober Dutt started working in films again.

But that was not the end of his tragedies, now it was the turn of his wife. Sanjay Dutt married Richa Sharma in 1987 (a small-time actress discovered by Dev Anand) who had nursed him back from a lung injury. A year later, the couple had a baby girl, Trishala. Just two months after Trishala's birth, Risha was diagnosed with cancer and the couple separated. Richa moved to United States with her daughter to live with her parents while Dutt pursued his career in Bollywood. After his wife succumbed to brain tumor in 1996, a bitter custody battle between Dutt and his in-laws over the custody of his only daughter ensued, which Dutt lost.

After resurrecting his career with the mega hit "Saajan" and his first Filmfare nomination for the best actor in a lead role, Charges were filed against the actor for his alleged involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bombings. Sanjay Dutt spent more than 18 months in Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.

After being released from jail, Dutt married Reha Pillai but the marriage did not last too long and the couple divorced in 2005 after spending the last few years apart. He has no children by his marriage to socialite Rhea Pillay.

His father Sunil Dutt, died in May 2005. Sunil Dutt was the sports minister of India at the time of his death.

On November 28, 2006, A special TADA court found actor Sanjay Dutt guilty under the Arms Act of possessing an illegal weapon. He was cleared, however, of the charges of terrorism and conspiracy.Dutt's bail has been extended a number of times since the ruling and is still in progress. While Sanjay was cleared of terrorism charges namely the TADA Act, one of his friends who transported the AK-56 guns for Sanjay namely Baba Chouhan was found guilty under TADA Act.

On 31 July 2007, Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to a jail term of 6 years for illegal possession of firearms acquired from terrorist acquaintances, who were responsible for the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. On August 20, 2007, the Supreme Court of India granted him interim bail.
